briefly because i'm absolutely drained; i have moved flat this weekend. its now a quarter to five on monday morning and the job is finally done. i owe a great debt of gratitude to mike, dave and andy for their invaluable assistance. thankyou, guys. kudos to mike (my new flatmate, ex-colleague and occasional go opponent), who remained on the ball and patient with my entirely characteristic ineptness when it comes to the physical world. the geekhaus is officially a two-blog household. so be sure to check out the other side of the story over on mikes site at http://www.mikespace.net contrary to what it says on his site, the mannequin is called 'abbey', for reasons far too inconsequential for me to go into at the moment. and already mike has held a conversation with the mannequin assuming that it was me. this is a common problem when you collect dummies; they start talking to your mannequins. i have also stripped most of the wallpaper from my room. once i've gotten the flat back in order - my still unpacked possessions are piled high around the flat, in a really rather ramshackle fashion - i plan to paint the walls white. then i've got a brightly coloured assortment of paints and spray-cans so i can go mad and be creative and colourful and draw things over the top of that. i have zero talent for the visual arts, but i do have boundless enthusiasm. eat your hart out rolf harris. a busy weekend, and i'm very, very tired and aching. that was far more physical exertion than i should ever engage in. but it was nice to do some practical things for a change. and i'm feeling very positive about the whole thing. i have put one of my webcams (galadriel) online, though its currently just sat on one of my pillows. (see the webcam section at the bottom of my homepage). the others will follow when opportunity permits. hmmm; that wasn't *nearly* as brief as i'd expected. i guess its just good to be back online again. we have adsl, hurrah! mmmm... bandwidth. bed time. good night, world! i'll speak to you in the morning.
